School Rules and Regulations:

  1. Punctuality : Students must attend morning assembly at 8.15 a.m. They should be in class 15mts before classes start.
  2. Attendance : 85% attendance is required for promotion to the next class. Kindly check if your child attends school daily. Correct phone numbers must be given to school so that SMS cam ne sent regarding attendance, tests, exams, holidays. Please do not permit student to bunk class for trivial reasons. Leave should not be taken to attend parties, weddings, picnics visiting.
  3. Re exams will not be conducted if student is absent for exam or test. Absence constitutes failure. Promotion will be denied if a student is absent for Annual Exam.
  4. A doctor’s certificate must be produced for long absence due to illness.
  5. Leave application must be entered in diary.

Academic work :

  • All students and parents must take studies very seriously and extend full cooperation to teachers.
  • Class work note books must be completed and submitted for correction whenever teachers ask.
  • Parents must strictly supervise Home Work especially reading and learning spellings, formulas, tables etc.
  • Students must speak only in English with teachers and other students. All classroom teaching and campus activities will be done in English.
  • Proper and adequate preparations for tests and exams are expected of each and every student.

Books, notebooks, files: :

  • All text books, notebooks must be purchased at the beginning of the academic year and must be maintained neatly throughout the year.
  • Books must be covered with brown paper or transparent plastic paper. Name, class and section must be written clearly on the sides of the book.
  • Parents must show keen interest in the students’ note books, project work, activities etc. Students must be provided with necessary stationery etc as when required.
  • From 1985, this school provides a free personal file every year to students. All exam papers, repot cards and class activity papers, syllabus etc are sent home regularly in the file for parents’ benefit.
  • Home work : must be checked daily at home. Written work alone does not constitute homework. Reading, learning, spellings and working out sums, learning tables, formulae and definitions looking into a dictionary or atlas and studying the daily lessons is ample home work.

Tests and Exams :

  • Students must prepare for dictation tests, monthly tests and Term Exams with the help of parents.
  • Dictation corrections should be re written correctly at least 5 times incorrect answers must be rewritten correctly twice.
  • Children should not be late or absent for exams and tests.
  • Each subject test carries 25 marks.
  • Term Exam Papers are marked out of 100. The passing mark is 40%. Papers are filed and handed over to parents every exam so that they are aware of their child’s performance.
  • Tests must be written only in test note books. Exams must be written only on the papers provided by the school.
  • In addition, the school has a 50 % allocation for paper III. The which is a continuous assessment of certain specific and basic areas of a subject.
  • Our purpose in doing this is to,
    • Make sure that the child studies the entire syllabus, not merely important questions.
    • Encourage practical.
    • Discourage mere memorization so that later on they can cope with the vigorous standards of higher education.

Materials for Study must be provided by parents from the opening day. Notebooks, pencils, erasers and ( plastic ) rules, red pencils are essentials. Ball pens, red pens are not permitted. Fountain pens will be used from Class V onwards. Compass box will be used only for higher classes. Art materials may be brought only as directed. No blades, knives, compass should be sent for only class. At the Pre – Primary and primary level some of the texts and note books Revision and test notebooks will be kept in school.

Discipline and Behavior :

  • All students are expected to be polite and courteous to all, especially teachers, both inside and off the campus.
  • All staff – members including non – teaching staff must be greeted appropriately, cheerfully and courteously.
  • The student must maintain silence as soon as the bell rings for class. Silence must be maintained in class rooms on corridors , bathrooms and staircases.

  • Students must stand and wish only teacher who enters their class.
  • They must stand aside and give way for staff members or parents. Brushing past teachers or other elders or students is not allowed. The appropriated permission such as 'Please excuse me sir / madam/ miss' or May I come in please'? must be used. ‘May I go to the washroom'? ‘May I be excused?’ must be used. 'Thank you, please and I'm sorry' are words which the school expects students to use at appropriate moments.
  • No student may indulge in verbal or physical violence towards any staff member or non teaching staff or other students. The school will settle any disputes amicably and fighting of any kind will result in dismissal. Bullying or teasing of any kind is punishable.
  • Students must speak only in English. Parents must explain and encourage them to do so, since it is the language of higher education.
  • Using bad language, back – answering a teacher, disobedience, teasing girls, fighting, stealing, damaging school property, cheating will result in suspension or fine.
  • Phones, cameras, electronic goods, jewellery, expensive items, are not permitted and will be confiscated.
  • Any items such as fire crackers or matches or toys considered dangerous to other students will be confiscated and student will be dismissed.
  • Students are not permitted to collect money from other for any reason whatsoever.
  • Students should not bring photos, magazines, other books, pamphlets into the school.
  • The school reserves the right to suspend or expel any student whose conduct is considered harmful to other students or to the reputation of the school.

Teachers :

  • Both students and parents must show respect for teachers and not speak insultingly to them. Parents must understand that by speaking rudely to teachers, they are encouraging a child to insult all elders and authority figures. Surely on day, this same child will turn against the authority of the parent.
  • Parents should not approach any staff member with requests for marks or promotion or to take tuitions for our school students at home.
  • No gifts should be given to individual teachers by students or parents, even on Teacher’s Day. Whatever is to be given, may be given at the fees office, so that all teachers are uniformly treated.

Fees, Office timings, meeting in – charges :

  • School fees and van fees must be paid promptly every month. Fees may be paid term or year wise. A student with fee balance will not be allowed to attend class / tests or exams. Report card will not be issued to those with fees dues.
  • The fees office is open from 8.30 a.m to 4.00 p.m for the convenience of parents.
  • The Records Office will be open from 3.30 P.m to 5 P.m for issuing T.C’s, bonafide certificates and any other official work. Parents must submit an application 4 working days in advance for issuing necessary certificate.
  • Parents can meet the teachers and In-charge teachers between 3. P.m – 4 .P.m if they wish to discuss their child’s progress in studies. When the school authorities request parents to come to school, parents must respond promptly.
  • All phone numbers must be correctly updated for us to contact parents in any emergency.
  • Parents should direct all enquiries complaints and child-related problems to the office. They are not permitted to enter any class. Parents should not intervene in any matter involving other students.

Uniforms :

Students should come to school neatly, soberly and modestly dressed. The uniform should be clean and stitched to specification. Tight pants, Pointed shoes, fancy hair styles, full – sleeved shirts, oversized Pinafores, old and faded uniforms are not permitted. Shoes must be polished and must fit them.Tom or broken shoes should not be worn.
Girls should be neatly dressed and hair must be braded into 2 plaits and tied up with ribbons. No makeup is permitted. No jewellery is to be worn.

Tuitions :

Tuitions are conducted for weak students for 2 hours after school. The school bus facility is offered for tuition students also.
Class X Students must stay till 5 p.m daily and must attend school till the pre-final exams in March.

School bus :

School bus is available morning, afternoon for Nursery and evening (2.30 p.m) and again at 5. p.m after tuition. Bus fees must be paid on time if service is to continue.
Correct home address and phone numbers must be submitted at the fees office. Any changes either in destination, address or phone number should be promptly conveyed to the office. Safety of children is serious matter and phone numbers are important for emergencies.

The Home :

Home environment affects children deeply. We request parents not to discuss their problems or Argue in front of students. Students, who are troubled by scenes at home, often lose concentration in class.

Please keep in mind the following :

  • Kindly refrain from criticizing the school or passing any derogatory remarks regarding teachers. Students lose respect and misbehave as a result of parent’s attitude.
  • Just as we teach children to love, respect and obey parents, it is parents who must inculcate the same for teachers.
  • Every Parent must show interest in their child’s progress. The school cannot be held entirely responsible for decline in marks or rank.
  • More time must be spent with children at home by both by parents and other family members.
  • Values such as courtesy, manners, truth and nonviolence must be established firmly at home.
  • Play – time, T.V time, outings etc must be well regulated and closely monitored so that studies are never affected.
  • Encouragement must be given for them to participate in all school activities.
  • Unrestricted freedom for boys to room, purchase of motor cycles, scooters for the young children has resulted in poor performance in studies. Rash driving can cause accidents not only to themselves but others as well. Too much reliance on students’ information or misinformation regarding school, teachers, homework and too much trust on short cuts to success such as tutorial classes etc is to be avoided. Parents must observe every change in a child’s behavior and trace the source.
  • Please monitor friendships so that undesirable influences do not spoil your child.

Nutrition and Rest :

Parents are advised to provide a well balanced diet since a weak or malnourished child can’t bear the burden of studies. Children must bring lunch to school daily. Only snacks for lunch are not advisable.

Illness :

Sick children should not be sent to school. If a child has contracted any infectious diseases such as measles, chickenpox, mumps, cold, viral fever, etc, please follow quarantine precautions. Children with any skin infection should get a doctor’s certificate that it is not contagious.

Lunch recess is for 30 mts. Lunch should be brought by the student in the morning. Food should not be wrapped in paper but brought in a lunch box. Napkin, spoon, water bottle must be sent to school.
